SUMMARY:Tour of the Pennines
DESCRIPTION:The Tour of The Pennines\, an amazing mix of challenging climbs\, amazing descents and stunning scenery in an area which will be new to many of our customers. \nAn event with over 1\,500 riders in the past! The HQ at Barnard Castle is great to access from the East and West\, just off the A66. We ride North with the first climb after only 10km known locally as Billy Lane. \nIt’s lumpy all the way to the first Stanhope Stop after 37km where we’ll enjoy all the really great feed stop treats you expect from Velo29. Here the Medium route (no short option) heads back South with the delightful climb of Unthank Bank (official 100 Climbs number 155)\, you’ll understand its name on the day! SUMMARY:Shropshire Devil 2019
DESCRIPTION:The 88 mile route has a total of 2466 vertical metres of climbing\, including the climbs of the Long Mountain\, Anchor\, New Invention\, Burway and the Stiperstones.\n\n\n \n\n\nWe will have one feed station for the medium route and two for the long route. Both feed stations will be in village halls with toilets\, mechanical assistance and route maps on hand.\n\n\nI have spoken spoken to Drover Cycles who organise the Shropshire Devil and if we can get 8 people to commit by 15/2 then they will do it 20% off each person\, so £28 (you will also save £1 booking fee). To do this we need to send definite names and email addresses to the lady and then she will email everyone individually with a link to do a card payment. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THE BC WEBSITE. DESCRIPTION:CANCELLED AS THE WINDY WEATHER MAN GOT IT SPOT ON! TOO DANGEROUS \n  \n  \n  \nMe and Colin are setting off from the car park at 07:30\, café stop at Llyn Brenig. 72miles with 6200 ft climbing.
